As the summer residence of a wealthy steamship baron, for many years its charms were available to only a privileged few. Perfectly situated on five rolling acres, this historic inn offers the peace and serenity of a quiet mountain setting, while providing easy access to the restaurants, art galleries, and shopping of the quaint town of Waynesville, N.C. Within a short drive are easy access to The Blue Ridge Parkway, the many attractions of Asheville, N.C., including The Biltmore Estate, the natural beauty of The Great Smokey Mountain National Park, and The PIsgah National Forest or the fun of casino gaming at Harrah’s Casino in Cherokee, N.C.
