January and February have been busy months here at The Yellow House! It is usually our quietest time of the year, so we planned to execute several big house projects. We wanted to give a little snapshot of some of this work.
- The Carriage House Suite: The bedroom area now showcases a gorgeous new sleigh bed and a lovely inlaid table with wingback chairs. The walls have been textured and repainted, keeping the signature green color that past guests have enjoyed so much. A new sliding entry door leads to the beautiful new walk-in shower, the highlight of the new bathroom. The other big improvement to the suite is the addition of the gorgeous soaking tub with new luxury vinyl floors, along with a new bar sink and countertop.
- The S’conset Suite: This room has new windows! The old single pane sliding windows and sills have been completely rebuilt, insulated, and replaced by large double pane glass windows. Additionally, the old window boxes outside these windows have been removed. This has brightened up the space immensely!
- The Holland Room: This Holland’s walls have all been repaired – we added texture to the walls and repainted them a bright yellow. We are leaning into the Holland theme with a variety of Dutch-influenced art and accent pieces. The addition of a much larger TV mounted above the fireplace also makes this room more cozy and inviting.
- The Vineyard Suite: In addition to a new paint color and new art on the walls, a seating area with a couch and chairs has been added. All of the furniture in the room has been reconfigured to make the space more functional and much more comfortable.
We look forward to showing off the new improvements at our Waynesville inn to all of our guests, and we wish everyone safe and happy travels until we see you again!
